Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this replacement side view mirror. This is gonna be a direct replacement for the passenger's side factory mirror on your 1997 through 2000 Dodge Dakota, as well as the 1998 through 2000 Dodge Durango. This is modeled after your Dodge's original look and fit, so you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror, should look like it came with your Dodge right from the factory, so you don't have to worry about that pieced together from the junkyard sort of look, it's gonna look seamless and integrated with your Dodge, so it's gonna have that nice factory look again. This does also have the same footprint and mounting points as the original mirror, so you're not gonna have to worry about drilling new holes or anything like that, will be just as easy as taking the old one off and sliding this one in its place. It does have the same wiring as well, so it will plug right into the existing wiring, so that you have that power remote capability, which allows you to adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle.

Now, of course, that is only going to work if your vehicle is already equipped with that function, this will not add that function to your vehicle if it doesn't already have it. This is a OE-grade quality mirror, so it's gonna be the same quality as the original. The front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome, so you're gonna get a nice, clear image. It does have a convex lens to provide a wide angle view that helps reduce blind spots like most passenger's side mirrors do, so it's gonna do a great job for you there. It does have a very durable plastic housing with a textured black finish, so again, it is going to blend in, match your Dodge, and look very seamless for you.

Now, for those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is gonna work for you, this is going to replace the original equipment number that you see on the screen there, so if you're going through your owner's manual or when you're replacing your original mirror, when you pull it off, if you see that number anywhere, you can trust this is gonna be the exact replacement that you need.
